Before your child is admitted to Picnics we will ask you to provide information about any special dietary requirements, preferences and food allergies that your child may have, and any special health requirements. We will record and act on information from parents and carers about a child’s dietary needs. [para 3.47 Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014]
Toast/bagels/wraps/pitta bread. Sandwich fillings, cheese, ham, humous, marmite. Carrot sticks/ cucumber/ celery with a selection of dips. Plenty of fresh fruit: grapes, sliced apples, segmented oranges, sliced melon etc. Yogurt and Fruit
Banana on toast (or banana and chocolate spread on toast). Toast with chocolate spread and fruit. Cream cheese on toast with grapes. Popcorn. No sugar or salt, pop corn is quite healthy. It’s high in fibre and low in calories. Eggs (Full of protein). Dried fruit and nuts (great source of healthy fats).
